How does it feel to be the face of G-Star, following in the footsteps of Dennis Hopper and Vincent Gallo?
"I am in awe of both Dennis and Vincent, they are great artists in addition to great actors, something I would like to strive for in my life."
In what ways does the brand align with your own personal style?
"Well I’m a Texas boy and we have denim in our blood."
How would you describe your day-to-day look?
"I tend to be casual but G-Star has a great look that makes me feel a bit more dressed up. Now I have a whole new wardrobe thanks to G-Star!"
Who inspires you when it comes to style? And acting?
"Anyone who makes up their own style! There are too many great actors to mention."
Folk singer Anna Calvi performed at the opening—are you a big fan of hers and who else are you listening to these days?
"She’s fantastic, I’m just beginning to get to know her music well. I usually listen to classic rock and roll."
What else kept you busy in Cannes?
“Well I had a big premiere of a movie I starred in directed by Brandon Cronenberg (son of David) so that was awesome and I had tons of press to do.”
What’s next for you?
"Well I have another very cool movie coming out that I did called Byzantium directed by Neil Jordan (Crying Game ) that I starred opposite great young actors Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Arterton (past G Star Model too!) and Sam Riley." [x]
